I will be able to install mods/extensions/etc so that at my home PC running win10 and cursor, I will be able to do VOICE control of cursor.
i.e.: do ALL of this minimal example, or more (it's okay if we do even more than this and I'm happy about it, and it achieves this purpose (or more) even if we don't actually do these individual steps)
open editor
click 'Chat' to engage the LLM
engage voice mode
SAY what I want the LLM to do (claude sonnet, in my case, although any will do)
it generates the diff
I can say 'apply' to apply the diff(s)
or I can give further voice instructions without applying the change
and I can iterate on this, like, say something, apply change, then using my mouse reload the page/program/etc to test, then back to cursor and continue speaking to it.
I am willing to go to quite a lot of trouble and expense to get this, but I'm not planning to program it myself right now or deeply debug/mess with others non-working out of the box code. I will spend time configuring an existing system, if it exists.
If others demonstrate it on similar systems but for some reason I can't get it working, we can YES, but there need to be public youtube videos or the like, and all the code has to be gettable by a member of the public like me, in the US, and many people must have gotten it set up.
@Ernie Sorry, no, after brief research I found there was a preexisting option called talon-ai-voice, but I haven't had the time to try it out, here is a demo if you are interested.
@BoltonBailey Just installed it now, honestly everything I was expecting to do when I was thinking of doing this myself is covered by the "pilot chat" command. It's pretty effective! But I recently sprung for GH Copilot pro so I'm not sure if using it like this frequently is the sort of thing that will run you up against usage limits if you are on free tier.
