Will Silksong be a Switch 2 launch title?
I will consider it to be a launch title if criteria a or b are met.
a. A playable version of the game is available for download on the Switch 2 on the launch date of the Switch 2 in the United States
OR
b. The game is featured prominently in Switch 2 promotional materials or announced as a launch title AND a playable version of the game is available for download for the Switch 2 within 30 days (inclusive) of the launch date of the Switch 2 in the United States
If necessary, the closing date will extend 30 days past the launch date of Switch 2.
1,000@Robincvgr I wanted to avoid a scenario where it was essentially a launch title but technically came out right after launch, but I probably should have used a week instead of a month. Too late for that now, but I’ve updated the title
For the purposes of resolving this market, I would consider the following criteria to be met based on Silksong getting dedicated screentime in the Switch 2 direct:
“The game is featured prominently in Switch 2 promotional materials”
Given the announced release date of June 5 for Switch 2, unless something unusual happens, this market now asks if Silksong will be available on Switch 2 by July 5.
