I think having something so uncontrolled by Gov wouldn’t be in their interest. It may legitimise BC in a way they don’t want it to be.

But this is a guess based one one book I read years ago. Would anyone be able to correct me?

This will resolve to YES, if in 2025 US Treasury officially recognizes Bitcoin as a reserve asset and lists bitcoin on its balances.
